Freshman Academy Assistant Principal

Bio

Baker has been a part of my life for many years.  I attended Baker Elementary School from kindergarten to 6th grade.  In fact, my office is in the same building that housed my 5th grade classroom.  I then moved on to the Baker High School building which housed grades 7-12 and the Regional School for the Deaf and Blind. I graduated in 1992 with about 290 classmates.  My how things have changed!  I went on to complete my education at Spring Hill College and the University of South Alabama.  In 2010 I earned my Instructional Leadership Certification at the University of South Alabama.

Mission

I can not wait to work with the incoming freshmen.  The Academy is a great opportunity to allow students to transition into high school life.  The freshman year is a pivitol year in the success of all high school students.  It prepares them to graduate on time, and it begins to prepare them for life after high school.  It is Baker's mission to "provide a safe, caring environment in which students will become productive citizens, consciencious adults, and life long learners."  Along with the excellent faculty at Baker High School, I hope to be a major part in fullfilling that mission this year.  I am honored and excited to be a part of the Baker family in my role as Freshman Academy Administrator.
