Rules 

The Baker High School Freshman Academy teachers all post and enforce the same rules throughout each class.  The rules are simple and easy to abide by.  The rules are as follows:

  1. Be Respectful
  2. Be Prepared and Participate
  3. Be On Time
  4. Follow Code of Conduct

Progression of Consequences

The Freshman Academy teachers all follow the same progression of consequences for discipline infractions.  Please note that it is the teacher's discretion as to when steps may be skipped and harsher consequences are to be enforced. 

  1. Verbal Warning
  2. Written Warning
  3. Parent Letter
  4. Parent Contact
  5. Administrative Referral

Test Retake Policy

Any student that scores below 60% on a test is eligible for a retake.  After the original test, the student will be remediated on the material, and he or she may retake the test on Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons.  Each student has 1 week from the date of the original test to retake.  The 2 scores (original and retake) will be averaged together to give the student his or her new score (i.e. 59% original & 87% retake = 73% new score).
