Baker Senior, Kelsey Perine, worked with Boys and Girls Club to create “Teen Talk”, a group which partnered with Mobile Police Department and Mobile United to coordinate  the “Student Voices Against Youth Violence” Art Project.
MCPSS student artists were invited to express their ideas and showcase their talents about how to address violence in the community.  This evocative art display can now be seen at the Shoppes of Bel Air, near JC Penny, through the end of the month. Pictured here is Baker Senior, Carlos Montes, who is sharing his inspiration for his painting entry with Mobile Police Chief Lawrence Battiste. More images can be viewed on the MPD Facebook.
