Baker High School

Summer Reading 2017-2018


Students enrolled in honors and Advanced Placement English courses at Baker High School are required to read two books before school begins in August.


Select and read two of the books (at least one of which must be a classic) from the appropriate grade level. You will be tested on both books. An essay will also be assigned for the classic book.


Tests will be given during the first week of class.  (A student in second semester English will have the opportunity to take the test at the beginning of first semester with his or her English teacher.)


Selections with an asterisk should be previewed by parents before students are allowed to read them.


Ninth Grade

Tenth Grade

Twelfth Grade

The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
