Academy Overview:
Transportation and Public Safety

The mission of the Transportation and Public Safety Academy is to prepare students for a range of public service fields including law, national safety, government services, and public transportation. TAPS is designed to prepare students for their future in post-secondary education and careers. Through rigorous academic programs, students will choose from a variety of courses that meet individualized interests. Students will gain exposure to opportunities that inspire new knowledge and experiences through various components such as mentorships, internships, and portfolios. Many special features of the TAPS academy include advanced technology to enhance the delivery of instruction, rigorous theme-based learning, and community partnerships to enhance student opportunities.
