Welcome to The Way

The Way was founded in 2021 by teachers Clorinda Allen and Jill Leiser, and student Jason Gaston. They foresaw The Way as a student-led Bible study/discussion group with the mission to bring God back into our lives. They felt that as a society we continually get further and further from God. Even if we confess belief, we still show no love for Him, His Word, or His people. They decided it was time for a change... The Way began with the mission to redirect our hearts, working and learning together to grow in our relationships with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ but most importantly growing in a relationship with God, growing in knowledge and in love of Him grounded in His Word.

This club is for everyone. Anyone is welcome to join! This group intends on providing a safe place for honest discussions based in love, compassion, and understanding. Our VISION is to create a community of support and unity through the study of the liberating and relevant living word of God that will empower our student body to walk in communion with God rather than being distracted, hurting, and feeling alone.

We meet every Wednesday in the morning at 6:45 in room 78 and right after school from 2:50 to 3:30 in room 69. You may attend whichever meeting works best for your schedule. If you cannot make any of the meetings, that's okay, you can still be a part of the club! We will have various events outside of school throughout the year so make sure you join our GroupMe or follow our Instagram page @theway_2021.

If you would like a club t-shirt or have any questions, comments, or suggestions you can contact our current student leader Ryan Morvant (251-404-7427, ryanjmorvant@gmail.com) or one of our club sponsors, Mrs. Sage in room 69 (tsage@mcpss.com), or Coach Daigle (ddaigle@mcpss.com).

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” ~ Hebrews 4:12
